Finding your strength in Christ when you are uncertain about everything.
As many of you know when we left for our DTS we thought that we would be doing our outreach phase here on the island. This has since changed slightly. While there’s still a team headed out to help and share here on the island, we will not be a part of it.
About a week ago we found out that we had a choice to make. The opportunity to send a team to Mexico for outreach was presented to the leadership through prayer and counsel with upper leadership. We got the weekend to pray as a family about our choice; Hawaii or Mexico.
Our decision was set off to the leadership after we prayed as a family and felt God telling us to choose “Faith over fear”. We are one of three student families that will join the Mexico team and we are so excited about what God is going to do there! We will be helping with a new build of a YWAM school, children’s ministries, and other local mission work!
Learning To Listen & Obey God
We have been learning how to hear God and obey Him in our daily life. This has been an interesting journey as we learn how to fully submit to God.
It’s been something that we have been practicing with our children as well which has been super awesome!
Christ Filled Community
The thought of leaving home and living in a community with a bunch of strangers was such a strange thing to think about, a few months in and I don’t see us ever living any other way! I see God’s love, patience, and kindness through my neighbours and friends here on campus. They have become my people and I know that I can go to them with anything.
